In February, the Mintlayer development team continued working on improvements across the core node, developer tools, and ecosystem infrastructure. This update summarizes the latest progress across different components of the Mintlayer stack.
Core:
Ledger support is currently in progress.
The team also improved the speed of bootstrapping, allowing nodes to synchronize faster. In addition, a new “reckless mode” was introduced, which speeds up bootstrapping even further, although it comes with some trade-offs.
Right at the end of February, a bug affecting Windows was reported and quickly fixed.
Wallet CLI:
New commands for HTLC have been added to the wallet-cli.
Explorer:
On testnet, the team is improving a new staking page, which will be released to mainnet after the ongoing wallet update.
JS SDK:
Work is currently in progress to support mobile applications.
Mintlayer MCP:
Mintlayer introduced an MCP server, allowing Mintlayer to be used with AI agents.
